← ONI Games

This Privacy Policy explains how ONI Games (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the mobile game Dark Tower: Idle Villain TD (package name com.onigames.darktower), distributed through Google Play for Android devices (the “Game”).

By installing or playing the Game you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Game.

In short. We do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number or any account credentials. The Game includes optional reward videos, in-app purchases, analytics and crash reports, and optional Google Play Games sign-in with a cloud save and a leaderboard, all provided by Google and its advertising partners. We run no game server that receives information about you. The sections below describe exactly what that means.

1. Information we do not collect

We want to be specific about this, because it covers most of what people worry about. The Game does not request, collect, store or transmit any of the following:

The Game requests no runtime permissions, and we maintain no database in which such information could be stored. There is no chat and no way for players to send each other messages.

2. Information stored on your device

Your game progress is saved locally on your device using the standard Android preferences storage. This includes information such as your gold, gems and crystals, the level of your tower in each world, the worlds you have conquered, Factory upgrades, Dark Lab research, relics, your deepest floor in the Abyss, daily rewards and quests, purchased items, the end date of a VIP subscription, and settings such as music, sound and language.

Cloud save (optional). If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the Game also keeps a copy of this progress in the Saved Games area of your Google Play Games account, so it can be restored when you reinstall the Game or move to a new device. This copy is stored by Google under your Google account; we cannot access it. You can delete it in the Google Play Games settings.

Leaderboard (optional). If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your deepest floor in the Abyss is submitted to a Google Play Games leaderboard. Other players can see your Play Games gamer name, avatar and score there, according to the visibility settings of your Play Games profile.

Uninstalling the Game or clearing its storage deletes the progress on the device. Without a cloud save it cannot be recovered by us.

3. Information collected by third-party services

The Game integrates services operated by Google and its advertising partners. These services collect technical information directly, according to their own privacy policies, and we do not receive the raw data they gather.

Service Purpose Typical data collected
Google AdMob Displays the rewarded video advertisements you choose to watch Advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version, coarse region derived from IP, ad impressions and interactions
AppLovin, Mintegral and Unity Ads Supply part of the advertising inventory through Google AdMob mediation Advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version, coarse region derived from IP, ad impressions and interactions
Google User Messaging Platform Presents the privacy and consent form required in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and records your choice Consent status, device identifier, IP address

Google Play Games Services Optional sign-in, cloud save of your game progress and the Abyss leaderboard Google Play Games player ID and gamer name, the saved game progress described in section 2, leaderboard score, play time

ONI Games website (Cloudflare) Delivers the list of our other games shown under More Games No player data is sent. As with any web request, the IP address is processed to deliver the file

Advertising

The Game shows rewarded video advertisements only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game bonus (for example free gems, doubled rewards, a faster Dark Lab or another chance after a defeat). While the monthly VIP subscription is active, these bonuses are given without an advertisement. Advertising identifiers may be used to show advertisements relevant to your interests, subject to your consent where consent is required and to your device settings.

Advertising is served through Google AdMob mediation. For each advertising slot, AdMob asks several advertising networks which of them will show the advertisement. Besides Google, the networks currently used are AppLovin, Mintegral and Unity Ads. The network that wins the slot receives the same technical information as AdMob for that request, and handles it under its own privacy policy: AppLovin, Mintegral and Unity Ads. Where consent is required, the choice you make in the consent form applies to these partners as well, and declining personalised advertising is passed on to them.

Purchases

All payments are processed by Google Play. We never see, receive or store your payment card number, bank details or billing address. We receive only a confirmation from Google that a given purchase completed successfully, so the corresponding item can be granted inside the Game. The VIP subscription renews every month until you cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Refunds and billing questions are handled by Google Play.

4. Your choices and controls

Consent for personalised advertising

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent form is presented the first time you open the Game. You may accept or decline personalised advertising. You can change your decision at any time with the Privacy button in the Game’s settings.

Google Play Games

Signing in to Google Play Games is optional; the whole Game can be played without it. You can delete the cloud save and your leaderboard entry for the Game in the Google Play Games settings.

Your advertising identifier

Android lets you reset or delete your advertising identifier, and lets you opt out of advertising personalisation entirely. On most devices this is found under Settings, then Google, then Ads. Doing so does not remove the reward videos from the Game, but it limits the use of your identifier for personalisation.

Removing all local data

You can erase everything the Game has stored by clearing the app data in your Android settings, or by uninstalling the Game.

5. Legal bases and your rights

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, processing for personalised advertising relies on your consent, and processing necessary to deliver purchases and to keep the Game functioning relies on the performance of a contract and on our legitimate interest in operating the Game.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data relating to you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. We hold no personal data about you ourselves. Requests about data collected by the services listed above should be directed to Google or the partner concerned. We will assist you in reaching the right place if you contact us.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.

6. Children

The Game is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Data retention

We keep no game data about you ourselves. Data handled by Google and the advertising partners is retained according to their own retention schedules, described in the policies linked below.

8. International transfers

The third-party services described above are operated globally and may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are governed by the safeguards described in the providers' own privacy policies.

9. Security

For data deletion options see Delete your data.

Game data on your device is protected by the protections your device provides, such as your screen lock and system updates. All communication between the Game and the services above is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

10. Third-party policies

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Game changes, for example if new features are added. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the Game's store listing or within the Game itself. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised policy.
