The idle games Google Play shows players in Taiwan in 2026: our ranking of 219 games from 15 Traditional Chinese searches, where Soul Strike leads and the Korean studio CookApps has five games in the top 20.
The idle games Google Play shows players in Taiwan are led by Com2uS's Soul Strike (靈魂衝擊), which reached the top 10 of 6 of our 15 Traditional Chinese searches, followed by MagicFind Studio's Loop Dungeon (循環地牢), Nanali's Forest Island (森林小島) and CookApps' Idle Berserker (狂戰士養成記). On October 10, 2026, we ran 15 common idle-game searches on Google Play Taiwan, in Traditional Chinese, and ranked the 219 games they returned.

How we ranked them: a game earns 30 points for first place in a search, 29 for second and so on down to 1 for 30th, added up over all 15 searches, and the table lists the 15 highest-scoring games with at least 100,000 installs. Installs and ratings are Google Play's rounded figures from the Taiwanese store, and the Offline tag is the one Google Play itself shows there.
Korean idle RPGs lead in Taiwan
Many of the most visible idle games in Taiwan come from Korean studios: Com2uS, CookApps, gameberry, NEPTUNE and Nanali all have games in the ranking. Korean raising games (키우기) often become 養成記 here: CookApps' 광전사 키우기 is 狂戰士養成記 in Taiwan.

Com2uS's idle RPG comes first again, as in Korea: top 10 in 6 of the 15 searches and second for both 放置rpg and 掛機rpg, with a 4.51 rating in Taiwan.
CookApps: five games in the top 20
The Korean studio CookApps has five games in our top 20: Idle Berserker (狂戰士養成記, first for 放置 養成), AFK Dungeon (今天也闖地牢), Tailed Demon Slayer (有尾的惡魔殺手), Fortress Saga (洛伊的移動要塞, first for 掛機rpg) and Shadow Knights (暗影騎士).

Game Hive's tapping RPG from 2016 still turns up everywhere in Taiwan: first for 點擊遊戲 (clicker games) and second for both 掛機遊戲 and 掛機, with more than 10 million installs and a 4.52 rating.
Strategy and collection
Loop Dungeon (循環地牢), second in our ranking, adds strategy: you choose each hero's gear and expedition route, and the roguelike dungeons change every day. Conquest Girls (征服少女養成記) is a collection idle RPG, third for 放置rpg and fourth for 掛機rpg.
Relaxing and clicker games
- 森林小島 (Forest Island) comes first for 放置 經營 (idle management) and second for 放置 模擬 (idle simulation).
- 地球模擬器 (Cell to Singularity) comes first for 放置 模擬, with more than 10 million installs.
- 糖餅外傳 is the Korean Joseon-era tavern game Jumo (주모 키우기), third for 點擊遊戲 in Taiwan.
- Pokémon Sleep, the sleep-tracking game, comes eighth for both 放置類遊戲 and 點擊遊戲 and shows no ads.
Two words for idle: 放置 and 掛機
Taiwanese players use two words. 放置 (leave in place) is the word in most idle RPG titles, written with the same characters as the Japanese word for idle games; 掛機 (keep the game running on its own) is the long-standing Chinese gaming word for AFK play. The searches overlap but are not the same: 掛機遊戲 and 掛機 also bring up the MMORPG 傳奇對決, 掛機吧三國, set in the Three Kingdoms era, and the cultivation game 道友掛機嗎.
Taiwanese ratings sit closer to Korea's
Google Play ratings are per country, and for the same games Taiwan's ratings sit much closer to Korea's than to Japan's: Soul Strike 4.51 (Korea 4.66, Japan 4.02), Cat Gunner 4.79 (4.76, 4.51), Forest Island 4.71 (4.72, 4.40) and Idle Miner Tycoon 4.61 (4.58, 4.19).
What Taiwanese players search
- 放置遊戲 (idle game) and 放置rpg are the main terms, and 放置類遊戲 (idle-type games) brings up more tycoons.
- 掛機 (AFK) and 掛機rpg find many of the same idle RPGs, and 掛機遊戲 adds MMORPG-style games.
- 養成 (raising) and 像素 (pixel) narrow the results: 放置 養成 finds raising RPGs, and 像素 放置 finds pixel-art idle games such as Idle Slayer (放置獵手).
- 離線遊戲 (offline games) and 不用網路的遊戲 (games without internet) return game collections, Block Blast! and Candy Crush rather than idle games, and 點擊遊戲 (clicker games) also turns up an auto-clicker app.
