Yes. Lantern Isles: Word Puzzle is free to play. Reward videos only play when you choose one, for example for a free booster. After the first 20 levels a short ad can appear between islands, never during a level. Coin packs, a starter pack, a coin bank, the Lantern Pass and a No Ads purchase can be bought with real money; No Ads removes the ads between islands.

Swipe across the letters on the wheel to make a word. Words that fit the crossword grid fill it in, and other real words count as bonus words and earn coins. Find every word in the grid to solve the level and light up more of the island.

There are 15 islands to wake up, from Firefly Harbor to Starlight Summit, and 5,000 levels in English. After the summit the journey goes on across a new sea, so it never ends.

Yes. Tap any word you have found in the grid to see a short meaning. Every grid word has one, and My Dictionary keeps every word you have ever found.

Use a booster: the bulb reveals a letter, the finger opens a tile you pick, the rocket fills a whole word and shuffle mixes the letters. Boosters cost coins, and you can also watch a short video for one. There are no timers and you cannot lose a level.

Every third level has a twist: fireflies hide in the tiles, a golden word pays a pile of coins, night levels light up word by word, and locked tiles open when you find the word next to them. They unlock one by one as you play, and the last level of every island is its guardian.

Yes. There is a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone who plays in your language. Solve every day of a month to earn that month's trophy; missed days of the current month can be caught up. The Word of the day is a second daily game: guess the five-letter word in six tries.

The village on Lumi's home island is waiting to be rebuilt. Every level you solve earns stars, and the stars build the eight places of the village one by one.

A monthly season of 30 tiers. Levels, daily puzzles and bonus words give you lanterns that move you up the tiers. Every tier has a free reward, and the premium pass adds a second, bigger one.

Yes. Every week you collect points from words, levels and puzzles in a group of 30: the top five move up a league and the bottom five move down, across six leagues. You can also join a club of players who play in your language; clubs need an internet connection.

Yes. Levels, the daily puzzle and the Word of the day work without an internet connection. Clubs, reward videos, purchases and the cloud save need one.

Yes. In the settings you can turn on larger letters, a dyslexia-friendly font and a left-handed layout.

Yes. When you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game keeps a copy of your progress in your Google Play Games saved games, so you can restore it after reinstalling the game or on a new device.

Yes. Lantern Isles: Word Puzzle can be played in 20 languages, including English. Every language has its own word list and levels made for it, not a translation.
