Idle AI Factory Super Robots: All 16 Robots, Best Crew and Levels

All 16 super robots in Idle AI Factory: Robot Tycoon with their bonus at level 1 and level 5, how many copies a robot needs to level up, the real odds of pulling Atlas Prime from a chest, and which crew fits short visits, long sessions and weekend events.

The best super robots in Idle AI Factory: Robot Tycoon are the income robots: Atlas Prime (+15% income at level 1, +45% at level 5), Nova and Volt, plus Chronos and Luna if you mostly earn while you are away. Every robot you own also adds 1% income from your collection, even on the bench, so owning all 16 is worth +16% on its own. Robots level up with duplicate copies: 2, 4, 8 and 16 copies take a robot to levels 2, 3, 4 and 5, and at level 5 its bonus is three times the level-1 value.

We make Idle AI Factory, so every number in this guide comes from the game's code. New to the game? Start with our Idle AI Factory beginner's guide.

How super robots work

Super robots are not the robots working on your floors. They are a collection of 16 special bots, and the ones you place in your crew slots give their bonus to every factory you own: the AI Lab, Silicon City and the Space Base.

  • Crew slots: you start with one. The second opens when any of your factories reaches level 20, the third at level 50 or straight away with the VIP Pass.
  • Collection bonus: every robot you own adds +1% income, whether it is in a slot or not.
  • Bonuses add up: a robot's bonus is added to the same bonus from AI Research. Volt's +4% income and Neural Boost's +10% per level all go into one income multiplier, so every source counts in full.

Between those two columns, every level adds half of the level-1 value: level 2 is 1.5 times the level-1 bonus, level 3 twice, level 4 2.5 times and level 5 three times. Offline earnings means the share of your live income you collect while away; the level-up bonus is the coin reward offered at every factory level-up.

How to level up a robot

Every card of a robot you already own is a copy. When you have enough copies, level the robot up in the Crew screen:

To reachCopies neededBonus vs level 1
Level 22x1.5
Level 34x2
Level 48x2.5
Level 516x3

That is 30 copies after the first card. Once a robot is at level 5, any further copy of it turns into 2 AI Cores, so nothing is wasted.

Where super robots come from

Robots come from chests, and chests are only earned by playing, never sold for money. Each card in a chest first rolls a rarity, then picks one robot of that rarity at random. The four event legendaries never come from chests, so Atlas Prime is the only legendary a chest can hold.

ChestCardsCommonRareEpicLegendaryWhere it comes from
Basic280%18%2%0%Free every 4 hours, money drone, every 5th factory level, login day 3, all daily quests, event track
Rare355%35%9%1%Every 10th factory level, login day 7, event track
Epic430%45%20%5%Weekend event track

Here is what those odds mean per chest:

ChestChance of Atlas PrimeChance of one specific epic, like Nova
Basic0%1.3%
Rare3.0%8.7%
Epic18.5%24.1%

So on average it takes about 34 Rare Chests, or 5 to 6 Epic Chests, to find Atlas Prime. Those are averages, not guarantees: there is no pity counter, so luck can run either way. Our guide to drop rates and pity explains how to read odds like these.

Two other sources are fixed rather than random. Each weekend event ends with its own legendary robot at 650 tokens, and the four events take turns, so each one returns every fourth weekend; our weekend events guide has the dates and the token math. The VIP Pass, a paid one-time unlock, has a reward track whose top tier is Atlas Prime.

The best crew for how you play

There is no single best crew, because the bonuses do different jobs. These are the picks the numbers support:

Long sessions: income first

Income bonuses multiply every truck payout, so they always speed the game up. Put your best income robots in your slots: Atlas Prime, then Nova or Jester, then Volt. A level-5 Atlas Prime alone is +45%.

Short visits: Chronos and Luna

If you mostly collect offline earnings, the idle robots are stronger than they look. A new factory pays 10% of its live income for up to 2 hours while you are away. Chronos at level 1 adds 30 minutes, which is 25% more offline time; Luna at level 1 lifts the share from 10% to 13%, which is 30% more offline earnings. Their value shrinks as the Night Shift and Dream Engine research grows, so they matter most early on. Our offline earnings guide explains the math.

Weekend events: truck speed

Event tokens come from truck deliveries, one per delivery, so faster trucks mean more tokens. For an event weekend, Comet (or Bolt before you have Comet) in one slot is a good swap.

Boosters and level-ups

Neon Idol and Turbo make boosters last longer, and Goldie and Midas raise the coin reward at every factory level-up. They shine right after a Factory Reboot, when levels come quickly, and less in a slow late run.

Super robots FAQ

Which super robot is the best?

For most players Atlas Prime, because income is the bonus that speeds up everything else. If you play in short visits, Chronos and Luna can matter more early on.

How do I get Atlas Prime?

From Rare and Epic Chests (a 3.0% and 18.5% chance per chest) or from the top tier of the paid VIP Pass track.

What happens to copies of a level-5 robot?

Each one turns into 2 AI Cores.

I missed a weekend event. Can I still get its robot?

Yes. The four events rotate every weekend, so each legendary comes back every fourth weekend.

Do robots on the bench do anything?

Yes. Every robot you own adds 1% income through the collection bonus, in a slot or not.
