Clans and friend codes are the social side of ONI Snakes: Armored Arena. A clan is a team of up to 30 players who fill a chest together every week, and a friend code turns an invite into gems and chests for both of you. Here is how both work, and how to get the most out of them.

How to join or start a clan
- The CLANS button opens at rank 6. Players who were already playing before the clan update have it from the start.
- The list shows clans with room, the most active first. Tap JOIN on one with space: a clan holds up to 30 players.
- To start your own, tap CREATE, pick an emblem and a name, and pay 1,000 coins. The name is two words from the game's own lists, such as NEON VIPERS or IRON FANGS, and RANDOM suggests one. Nothing is typed and there is no chat, so every clan name is clean.
- The player who creates a clan is its LEADER.
- You can be in one clan at a time. Leaving is free, but your points for the current week stay with the clan you leave.
- Clans need an internet connection. Offline, the clan screen says so, and the points of matches you play wait on your phone until you are back online.
How the clan chest works
Every match you play for a minute or more adds points to your clan's chest, in any mode:

A win is worth 25 points in all, and a player can add up to 300 points a day. The clan's points for the week decide its chest:

The week runs from Monday to Sunday, UTC. When it ends, every member who added at least 60 points of their own gets the chest the clan reached. Open the game and the clan button shows a ! until you collect it.
What does a Mythic chest take? In a full clan of 30, about 400 points each: 16 wins or 40 ordinary matches per player over the week. In a clan of 10 active players, it takes 1,200 points each.
Tips for a bigger clan chest
- Join an active clan. The list puts the most active first, and an active clan fills its chest even in a quiet week of your own.
- Reach your 60 points early. That is 6 ordinary matches or 3 wins, and it makes the chest yours whatever happens later in the week.
- Play past the first minute. A match that ends sooner adds nothing, so a quick death is a lost entry.
- Play your best mode. A win pays two and a half times an ordinary match, 25 points against 10.
Friend codes: gems for you and your friends
Every player has a six-character friend code. Find yours under INVITE FRIENDS in the clan screen or in SETTINGS; SHARE sends it together with a link to the game.
- A new player who enters your code in their first 7 days gets 50 gems and a Rare chest.
- Once they have played 3 matches, you get 100 gems and an Epic chest.
- This works for up to 10 friends, so up to 1,000 gems for you.
To enter a friend's code, open SETTINGS and tap FRIEND'S CODE, or tap GOT A FRIEND'S CODE? in the clan screen. The box is only there during your first week, and it needs an internet connection.
Playing in the same match with friends
Clan members do not share a match. To play with friends, use a private room: tap WITH FRIENDS next to PLAY ONLINE, choose MAKE A ROOM and share the five-letter code. Your friends tap JOIN A ROOM and type it in, and computer snakes fill the empty places.
