Block Brain Daily Puzzle and Weekly Leagues Guide

Block Brain Daily Puzzle rules: the same board and 60 pieces for everyone, streaks and ranking. Plus how weekly league points, promotion and rewards work.

Block Brain gives you two ways to measure yourself against other players: the Daily Puzzle, a fresh challenge every day, and the weekly leagues, where every game you finish earns points. Here is how both work.

What is the Block Brain Daily Puzzle?

Tap DAILY on the home screen to play the Daily Puzzle (inside the game it is called Daily Brain). A new puzzle starts every day at midnight UTC, and it is exactly the same for every player:

The same starting board with 12 to 18 scattered blocks, never a complete line.
The same 60 pieces, in the same order and the same colors.
20 rounds of three pieces. The line under your score shows your round, for example Round 3/20.

Two rules make it different from Classic. There is no continue and there are no boosters, so everyone has the same chances. And the pieces are not picked to fit your board: if none of your three pieces fits, the run ends. Place all 60 pieces and you finish with PUZZLE DONE! and a 500 point bonus.

Scoring works like Classic: line clears, multi-line clears, combos, same-color lines and board clears all count.

Daily Puzzle tips for a higher score

Survive first. Finishing all 20 rounds is worth 500 points, more than almost any single move.
Keep room for the big pieces. The pieces do not adapt to your board, so a 3x3 square or a five-block line can arrive at any time.
Go for multi-line clears, but do not gamble: without a continue, one stuck tray ends the run.
Use your retries to learn. TRY AGAIN starts the same puzzle from the beginning with the same pieces, so a second run lets you plan ahead. Your best score of the day is kept and shown as the score to beat.

Day streaks and daily rewards

Your day streak grows every day you play the Daily Puzzle to the end. A red ! on the DAILY button means today's puzzle is still waiting; once you have played, the badge turns green and shows your streak. Miss a day (days count in UTC) and the streak starts again from 1.

Streaks pay off when you finish the whole puzzle. Placing all 60 pieces earns a streak bonus of 15 coins on the first day and 5 coins more for every extra day in a row, up to 60 coins from day 10 on. On top of that you get 1 coin for every 250 points, as in Classic and Brain Express.

How the daily ranking works

When your first run of the day ends, Block Brain compares your score with everyone who played the same puzzle. Once at least 20 players have played, you see a line such as Better than 73% of today's players. With fewer players you see your plain rank, for example Rank #4 of 12 players today.

Only your first finished try counts for the ranking, and it is sent the moment that run ends, so play it with an internet connection if you want it counted. The Daily Puzzle itself plays offline; the rank line then simply asks you to connect. Only the day and your score are sent, never a name.

How weekly leagues work in Block Brain

Weekly leagues run from Monday 00:00 UTC to the next Monday. Tap LEAGUE on the home screen to see yours. There are five leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Mastermind.

Finish any game to join the week. You are placed in a group of up to 30 players in your league, and more players join as the week goes on. Everyone gets a generated nickname such as Clever Otter 42, so nobody types a name. Your league points are the Brain XP you earn in every finished Classic, Daily Puzzle and Brain Express game. Points earned offline are kept on your phone and sent the next time you are online in the same week.

How to earn more league points

Brain XP also grows your Brain buddy through 50 stages in 10 worlds, from Sprout to Mastermind. Every finished game gives:

10 XP for finishing the game
4 XP for every line you clear
8 XP for every step of your best combo above x1 (a best combo of x5 gives 32 XP)
40 XP for every board clear
1 XP for every 250 points
30 XP for a new best score in Classic or Brain Express

One game can give up to 600 XP. Lines are the steady source, so long runs with many clears beat quick games, and a Daily Puzzle every day is a reliable boost.

League promotion, relegation and top 3 rewards

When the week ends, your place in the group decides where you play next:

The top 5 of each group move up a league.
The bottom 5 move down, in groups of at least 10 players. Nobody drops below Bronze.
The Mastermind League is the top: there is nowhere higher to go.
On equal points, the player who joined the week earlier ranks higher.

The move happens when you finish your first game of the new week. If you skip a whole week, you start again in the league you last played in, so a promotion only counts if you play the week right after.

The top 3 of every group win coins and a new cosmetic for their Brain, such as a hat, glasses or a scarf, picked from the ones they do not own yet. In the Bronze League first place gets 80 coins, second 50 and third 30. The prize grows in every league above, up to 160, 100 and 60 coins in the Mastermind League, and the table shows what each top spot is playing for. To collect, finish a game in the new week and the reward pops up on the home screen.
