Idle Ronin Neon Tower, Dungeons and Cyber Pass Guide
How the Neon Tower, the three dungeons and the Cyber Pass work in Idle Ronin: floors, tickets, keys, weekly rank rewards and a simple daily routine.
Past stage 10, Idle Ronin adds features on a daily and weekly clock: dungeons refill every day, the Neon Tower resets every week and the Cyber Pass runs in 28-day seasons. Together they are a steady source of diamonds and Unit Cores.
How dungeon and Neon Tower fights work
Both use the same arena fight. Your squad attacks on its own with its normal damage, attack speed and crits, and you get your normal boss timer to win. Tapping the arena adds extra strikes, each worth about a third of a normal attack, and the game counts up to ten taps a second, so fast tapping makes a real difference.
Each fight shows a difficulty label. EASY is a safe win, FAIR should be a win with a little tapping, HARD needs fast tapping and some luck, and TOO STRONG is not worth the attempt yet. A longer boss timer helps here too.
Idle Ronin dungeons: Gold Vault, Crystal Mine and Core Factory
Dungeons unlock at stage 10. Each of the three has its own keys and reward:
- GOLD VAULT pays gold: the gold of 250 enemy kills at your current stage, plus 25 kills per dungeon level.
- CRYSTAL MINE pays diamonds: 20 plus 3 per level, up to 100 per win.
- CORE FACTORY pays Unit Cores: 1 plus 1 for every 5 levels, up to 8 per win.
Each dungeon gives 2 keys a day, refilled at midnight, and unused keys do not carry over. A fight costs a key whether you win or lose, and each win clears the next level, which raises the reward. Once you have cleared a level, SWEEP repeats your highest cleared level instantly for a key, with no fight. When keys run out, each dungeon offers one optional bonus key per day.
Dungeon levels keep up with you: the next level is never far below your best stage. Press FIGHT on EASY or FAIR and SWEEP on HARD or TOO STRONG, so no key is wasted. Every win and sweep gives 50 Cyber Pass XP and counts for the dungeon or tower fight quests.
Neon Tower guide: floors, tickets and rewards
The Neon Tower unlocks at stage 15. It is a climb of 300 floors that runs Monday to Sunday in your local time and starts again from floor 1 every week.
- Wins are free and move you one floor up. Only a lost fight, including a retreat, uses a ticket.
- You get 5 tickets a day, refilled at midnight, plus one optional bonus ticket per day once they run out.
- The first floors are a warm-up, and every third floor is one stage harder.
- Every floor you clear gives 20 Cyber Pass XP.
Floor rewards pay out the moment you reach them and reset weekly, so you can earn them every week:
- Floor 5: 20 diamonds. Floor 15: 60 diamonds.
- Floors 10, 20, 30 and 40: from 50 diamonds and 2 Unit Cores at floor 10 to 200 diamonds and 8 cores at floor 40.
- Floors 50, 75, every 25 floors up to 250, and 300: 6 diamonds per floor number plus 1 Unit Core per 5 floors, from 300 diamonds and 10 cores at floor 50 to 1,800 diamonds and 60 cores at floor 300.
Neon Tower weekly ranking rewards
When the week ends, you get a reward for your rank on the weekly Neon Tower leaderboard of Google Play Games, as long as you reached floor 5:
- Rank 1: 1,000 diamonds and 30 Unit Cores
- Rank 2 to 10: 500 diamonds and 18 Unit Cores
- Rank 11 to 50: 250 diamonds and 9 Unit Cores
- Rank 51 to 200: 120 diamonds
- Everyone else on floor 5 or higher: 50 diamonds
The ranking needs a Google Play Games sign-in, and the game saves your rank when you open the RANKING tab. Open it after your last climb of the week, or you only get the base reward. The reward arrives the first time you play in the new week.
One more tip: tower floors and dungeon levels scale with your best stage ever, or your squad's power if that is higher. Right after a Rebirth your units are weak again but your best stage is not, so climb and fight new dungeon levels while your run is at its peak, and lean on SWEEP after a Rebirth. Gold rewards are worth a number of enemy kills at your current stage, so gold claimed deep into a run is worth far more.
The Cyber Pass: XP, tiers and seasons
The Cyber Pass unlocks at stage 5. Each 28-day season has 30 tiers of 500 Pass XP each. You earn XP from:
- each daily quest: 100, and the daily chest: 200
- each weekly quest: 250, and the weekly chest: 500
- each dungeon win or sweep: 50, and each tower floor: 20
- each boss you beat: 5, and each achievement: 50
The free track pays diamonds (100 at tiers 10, 20 and 30), gold and Unit Cores, adding up to 480 diamonds, 9 Unit Cores and 9 gold rewards per season. There is also an optional premium track. Tap CLAIM ALL before the season timer runs out: XP and unclaimed rewards reset with the new season.
A simple daily routine for Idle Ronin
- Claim the login reward (the calendar opens by itself once a day) and the supply drop, which refills every 4 hours.
- Spend all six dungeon keys: fight on EASY or FAIR, sweep on anything harder.
- Climb the Neon Tower until you run out of tickets.
- Claim your daily quests and the ALL QUESTS CHEST, then check the WEEKLY tab. One dungeon or tower win completes a daily quest.
- Open the Cyber Pass and tap CLAIM ALL.
- On Sunday, open the tower's RANKING tab after your last climb.
Daily quests and dungeon keys alone can bring in over 1,000 Pass XP a day, so a steady routine clears all 30 tiers well before the season ends. Find out more on the Idle Ronin: Cyber RPG.
