Idle Summoner Artifacts Guide: All 12 Artifacts, Stars and Odds
How artifacts work in Idle Summoner: Pixel RPG: the odds of each star rating, all 12 artifacts with their bonus by stars and levels, what rolling, upgrading and selling cost in gems, and which artifacts are worth keeping.
Artifacts in Idle Summoner: Pixel RPG are permanent bonuses you roll with gems in the Artifact tab. Each roll picks one of 12 artifacts at random and a star rating from 1 to 5: half of all rolls are 1-star, and only 1 roll in 100 is 5-star. You can hold seven, upgrade each one to level 10 with gems, and sell the ones you do not want for part of their value. The strongest single bonus is Magic Stick, which adds 20% attack to all your monsters per star and another 20% per level.
We make Idle Summoner, so every number in this guide comes from the game's code.
How artifacts work
- Rolling: each roll costs gems, and the price rises with every artifact you already hold: 300 gems for the first, then 600, 900, 1,200, 1,500, 2,000 and 3,000 for the seventh.
- Upgrading: each artifact goes from level 1 to level 10. Going from level n to n + 1 costs 300 x n gems, so a full upgrade from 1 to 10 costs 13,500 gems.
- Selling: selling an artifact pays back (50 + 50 x stars) x level gems: 100 gems for a 1-star at level 1, 3,000 for a 5-star at level 10.
- Keeping: artifacts are never lost in a rebirth.
The odds of every star rating
| Stars | Chance per roll |
|---|---|
| 5 stars | 1% |
| 4 stars | 3% |
| 3 stars | 15% |
| 2 stars | 31% |
| 1 star | 50% |
The artifact itself is a separate roll: each of the 12 is equally likely. So a 5-star of one particular artifact, like a 5-star Magic Stick, is a 1 in 1,200 chance per roll. There is no pity counter.
All 12 artifacts
| Artifact | Bonus | At 1 star | Per extra star | Per level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Magic Stick | All monsters attack | +20% | +20% | +20% |
| Cloak of the Wind | All monsters attack speed | +2% | +1% | +0.1% |
| Devil's Heart | Critical attack of all monsters | +20% | +20% | +5% |
| Pendant of Soul | Critical rate of all monsters | +1% | +1% | +0.1% |
| Golden necklace | Stage gold | +20% | +20% | +10% |
| Soul pocket | Monster gold and soul conversion | +10% | +5% | +1% |
| An ancient book | Summon gold cost | -2% | -1% | -0.2% |
| Belt of War | Attack and attack speed | +10% and +1% | Attack +10%; speed +1% at 3 and 5 stars | +10% and +0.05% |
| Assassin's Gloves | Critical rate and critical damage | +1% and +10% | Rate +1% at 3 and 5 stars; damage +10% | +0.05% and +3% |
| Scroll of Magic | Stage gold and gold and soul conversion | +10% and +5% | Gold +10%; conversion 5, 7, 9, 12, 15% | +5% and +0.5% |
| Ring of Death | Attack and critical damage | +10% and +10% | +10% and +10% | +10% and +3% |
| Ancient Hourglass | Skill cooldowns | -2% | -1% | -0.2% |
So a 5-star Magic Stick starts at +100% attack and reaches +280% at level 10. The four two-bonus artifacts start lower and grow about half as fast per level, so a single-bonus artifact of the right kind is usually stronger. Bonuses from several artifacts add up with each other and with the rest of your attack bonuses, like your player level.
Which artifacts to keep
- For damage: Magic Stick first, then Ring of Death and Devil's Heart, then Belt of War. Attack is the bonus everything else multiplies.
- For gold: Golden necklace and Scroll of Magic make every castle pay more, which speeds up every summon and level.
- For summoning: An ancient book lowers the gold price of every summon, which matters most while you climb the chain.
- For skills: Ancient Hourglass shortens every cooldown, up to 7.8% at 5 stars and level 10, so Freeze and the damage boosts come back sooner.
Because each roll's price depends on how many you hold, replacing a weak artifact is cheapest when you sell it first: with six held, selling a 1-star level-1 artifact pays 100 gems and the next roll costs 2,000 instead of 3,000.
Where gems come from
Rolls and upgrades are paid with gems. Clearing a region of the invasion map alone pays 500 to 5,000 gems, 15,500 for all six regions; our invasion guide shows how. Bosses can drop gems too, and selling artifacts gives some back.
