Idle Summoner Monster List: All 55 Monsters, Odds and Unlocks
Every monster in Idle Summoner: Pixel RPG, from Slime to Lord of the Abyss: the summon chance of each step, the invasion castle that unlocks it, what it costs to resurrect and what it sells for, straight from the game code.
Idle Summoner: Pixel RPG has 55 monsters, from the Slime (1) to the Lord of the Abyss (55). You start with three of them in your Monster Book, and the other 52 unlock one at a time as you conquer castles on the invasion map. Every step up the summon chain is harder than the one before: the base chance falls from 98% for the Poison Honey Bee to 6% for the Lord of the Abyss.
We make Idle Summoner, so every number on this page is read from the game's code rather than guessed from play. That includes a few things the game never shows you, like the star odds and the real price of a full climb.

How the summon chain works
Each tap on the monster gate costs gold and tries to summon the next monster up from the one you hold. A success replaces your monster with the next one. A failure loses it and sends the chain back to the start, unless you bring it back with a Resurrection Scroll. The gate never summons past the highest monster in your Monster Book, and it stops for good at 55. Our beginner's guide covers taps, stars and battle slots from the start.
The short version of the numbers:
- 55 monsters: 3 in the Monster Book from the start, 52 unlocked by invasion castles.
- The first tap always works. After that the base chance drops by 2 points per step to 20% for Immortal Sandman (41), then by 1 point per step to 6% for the Lord of the Abyss.
- Monsters 1 to 39 are saved with normal Resurrection Scrolls, monsters from Hydra (40) up with Advanced ones.
- Nine monsters sell for souls, all the others for gold.
- Base attack grows about 1.7 times per step, from 5 for the Slime to about 25.4 trillion for the Lord of the Abyss.
All 55 Idle Summoner monsters
The table lists every monster in chain order. Summon chance is the base chance of getting that monster with a tap while you hold the one before it. Scrolls if lost is what it costs to bring the monster back when your next tap fails. Sale prices are for a 1-star monster without bonuses, written the way the game writes them: K is a thousand, M a million, G a billion, T a trillion and P a quadrillion.

Summon odds for every step

The base chance is only the starting point. Three bonuses are added on top, and the gate's Next success rate already includes them:
- Failure bonus: every failed tap adds 1%, up to +20%. A successful tap does not reset it and neither does a Resurrection Scroll. It only goes back to zero when you Take a monster into a slot or sell one for gold.
- Class rank: +1% at player level 50, +2% at 100, +3% at 150, +4% at 250, +5% at 350 and +6% at 500, the Master rank. The rebirth guide explains how player levels grow.
- The Devil's Contract: a paid shop item that adds 10% for good.
With everything stacked, the last step to the Lord of the Abyss goes from 6% to 42%. One more detail from the code: the game rolls a number from 1 to 99 and the tap works when the roll is at or below your chance. A 6% chance is therefore really 6.06%, and anything from 99% up never fails.
Why a straight run almost never reaches the top
Multiply the steps together and you can see why nobody climbs the whole chain in one go. These are the odds of reaching a monster from scratch without a single failure, at base chance:
| Reach | Chance in one straight run |
|---|---|
| Ent (10) | About 42%, or 1 in 2.4 |
| Fire Golem (20) | About 1 in 69 |
| Steel Giant (30) | About 1 in 55,700 |
| Hydra (40) | About 1 in 7.3 billion |
| Lord of the Abyss (55) | About 1 in 311 sextillion |
That is what Resurrection Scrolls are for. We simulated 20,000 climbs with the game's rules, bringing back every monster that was lost, to see what a climb really costs on average:
| Climb | Normal scrolls | Advanced scrolls | Taps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slime (1) to Steel Giant (30) | About 245 | 0 | About 40 |
| Steel Giant (30) to Hydra (40) | About 3,000 | 0 | About 25 |
| Hydra (40) to Lord of the Abyss (55) | 0 | About 2,700 | About 53 |
| Slime to Lord of the Abyss, no permanent bonuses | About 2,460 | About 2,670 | About 107 |
| Slime to Lord of the Abyss, Master rank and Devil's Contract | About 1,670 | About 1,330 | About 84 |
Each part of the climb in the first three rows starts with no failure bonus. A full climb costs less than the three parts added together because the bonus you build on the way up stays with you.
Resurrection Scrolls: what each monster costs to save
Normal scrolls cover monsters 1 to 39. Up to the Ent (10) a lost monster costs 1 scroll, then 2 more per step, so Cerberus (29) costs 38. After that the price jumps: Steel Giant (30) costs 60, Minotaur (31) 147 and Chaos (39) 261. From Hydra (40) you pay with Advanced scrolls instead, starting again at 1 and rising to 250 for the Dimension Golem (54). The Lord of the Abyss needs none, because the chain ends there.
You can buy both kinds in the shop with gems, souls or gold, at a fixed price per scroll:
| Scroll | Gems | Souls | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 5 | 50 | 300K |
| Advanced | 30 | 2,000 | 3000G (3 trillion) |
The gold price never changes while monster values keep growing, so gold becomes the cheapest way to pay from the middle of the chain. A 1-star Steel Giant sells for 9691M gold, and saving one costs 60 normal scrolls, which is 18M gold. The Daily bonus and arena wins also hand out normal scrolls.
Stars: how rare is a 5-star monster?
Every successful tap rolls the stars again. The odds depend on how far along you are, and they are best at the very start:
| When | 5 stars | 4 stars | 3 stars | 2 stars | 1 star |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stage and player level both under 50 | 0.29% | 1.43% | 7.14% | 28.6% | 62.6% |
| Both under 100 | 0.25% | 1.25% | 6.25% | 25% | 67.3% |
| Both under 150 | 0.22% | 1.11% | 5.56% | 22.2% | 70.9% |
| Later | 0.2% | 1% | 5% | 20% | 73.8% |
Late in the game a 5-star monster is a 1 in 500 roll. Your player level never drops, so once you pass level 50 through rebirth, the early odds are gone for good. The Ancient Summon Book, a paid shop item, turns every 1-star roll into 2 stars.
Stars multiply attack by 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 or 3, and every star above the first adds a random bonus ability. Because each monster has about 1.7 times the base attack of the one before it, a 3-star monster outhits a 1-star monster one step higher, and a 5-star monster outhits a 1-star monster two steps higher before its bonuses even count.
Which monsters sell for souls?
Nine monsters pay souls instead of gold when you sell them: Death Knight (35), Balrog (38), Immortal Sandman (41), Sphinx (44), Pharaoh (47), Giant Crab (50), Kraken (52), Dimension Golem (54) and Lord of the Abyss (55). Their soul value grows with stars too, from x1 at one star to x3 at five. A monster you got from a Summoned scroll always sells for gold.
Souls are worth more than they look. A 1-star Death Knight's 6,500 souls buy 130 normal Resurrection Scrolls, or 3 Advanced ones.
Where to unlock every monster: the invasion map
The invasion map has 228 castles in six regions of 38. Castles fall in order, so castle 43 is simply your 43rd conquest. Every monster from the Vampire Bat (4) up is the reward of one castle; the other castles pay gold or souls every minute once you hold them.
| Region | Castles | Player level needed | Monsters it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 to 38 | None | Vampire Bat (4) to Troll Warrior (15) |
| 2 | 39 to 76 | None | Lizardman (16) to Cyclops (23) |
| 3 | 77 to 114 | 150 | Slaughterer (24) to Minotaur (31) |
| 4 | 115 to 152 | 350 | Reaper (32) to Chaos (39) |
| 5 | 153 to 190 | None | Hydra (40) to Pharaoh (47) |
| 6 | 191 to 228 | None | Turtle King (48) to Lord of the Abyss (55) |
Each attack costs one Battle Point. You hold up to five and get one back every five minutes, so conquering all 228 castles takes at least 228 points, which is more than 18 hours of refills even if you never let one go to waste. Regions 3 and 4 also wait for your player level, and that only rises through rebirth.
Which monster is best?
Higher is almost always better, because base attack climbs about 1.7 times per step. Within the monsters you can reach, three things are worth knowing:
- Stars can beat rank. A 3-star monster outhits a 1-star one a step higher, and a 5-star monster also adds a bonus for the whole team, such as All Monsters ATK +30%.
- Medusa (22) is the early standout. Her base attack is 2.5 times the Skeleton Knight's (21) and only about 14% below the Cyclops (23), so a well starred Medusa is worth keeping.
- Levels belong to the monster in the slot. A replacement starts again at level 1, so spend gold on the monsters you plan to keep.
Summoning for gold: when to sell
Selling monsters is also a gold source. From the Vampire Bat (4) up, a 1-star monster sells for about 2 to 5 times the price of the tap that summoned it. So is one more tap worth it before you sell? From the Poison Honey Bee (2) to the Werewolf (13), it pays for itself on average. From the Stone Golem (14) up, the falling odds make selling right away the better gold move, and with Master rank and the Devil's Contract that line moves up to about the Goblin Knight (17). When you are climbing for a stronger legion instead of gold, ignore this and use scrolls.
Tips for climbing the chain
- Unlock before you summon. The Monster Book is your ceiling, so spend Battle Points on invasions whenever they are full.
- Let failures work for you. Resurrect instead of starting over, and every +1% from a failure stays with you for the rest of the climb.
- Use auto summon for a target. It keeps tapping until the monster you picked appears and can stop early on a 4-star or 5-star roll.
- Buy scrolls with gold from the middle of the chain on. 300K gold per normal scroll is small change next to monster prices past the 20s.
- Keep a stack of scrolls for monster 30 and up, where one failure costs 60 to 261 normal scrolls, and for the Advanced monsters from Hydra (40).
- Rebirth for rank. Each new class rank adds 1% to every tap, up to +6% at Master, and ranks open regions 3 and 4.
